About Me
Hi there! I'm Andy Braford, a passionate and versatile designer dedicated to creating visually compelling and user-centric experiences. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of design principles, I specialize in narrative digital and print design, and art direction. My journey in design began a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.
My Design Philosophy
I believe that great design is more than just aesthetics; it's about solving problems and enhancing the way people interact with the world. My approach to design is holistic, combining creativity with strategic thinking to deliver solutions that are not only beautiful but also functional and impactful. I thrive on collaboration and am always eager to work with clients and teams to bring ideas to life.

My Journey
I started my career on a Wednesday night in September 1989 at the Grand Forks (N.D.) Herald as a sports clerk. A lot has happened since then, and I am now a designer at the Washington Post. Previously, I've worked at news organizations including the St. Petersburg Times, Minneapolis Star-Tribune and The New York Times. I played a crucial role in the Herald winning the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service in 1998, for our coverage of the flood of the Red River in 1997.
